The Kenilworth Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for the Townley Park Final Design project.
Work will include: : site preparation, construction fencing, temporary soil erosion sediment control
measures, site removals and clearing, earthwork, excavation, and grading, stormwater utilities, electrical
service utilities and lighting, cast-in-place concrete foundations and footings, stone masonry, open-air
shelter, playground equipment on pour-in-place rubber surfacing, site furnishings, asphalt paving (pedestrian
and vehicular), color coat and striping, concrete paving, coated chain link fencing and gates, trees,
shrubs, low plant material, and native and turf seeding.
Project manuals, including bid form, specifications, and construction documents are available after
10:00 AM on January 31, 2024 from the Hitchcock Design Group Plan Room website:
www.hitchcockdesigngroup.com via Accurate Reprographics (2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100,
Naperville, Illinois 60563 – 630.428.4433) for the non-refundable cost of reproduction.
Bids will be accepted at the Kenilworth Park District – 410 Kenilworth Avenue, Kenilworth, Illinois
60043, during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the
Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid for Townley Park Final Design,” on the face of the envelope.
Bids must be received no later than 10:00 AM on March 7th, 2024. Bids will be opened on 10:01 AM
on February 28, 2024, at the Kenilworth Park District – 410 Kenilworth Avenue, Kenilworth, Illinois
60043. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check,
Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Kenilworth Park District.
The successful bidder, as determined by the Kenilworth Park District, shall be required to pay, and to
agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820
ILCS 130) for the locality of the Kenilworth Park District (Cook County), to each laborer worker, or
mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful
contractor, and all subcontractors shall be required to submit, to the Kenilworth Park District, certified
payrolls no later than the tenth day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month.
The Kenilworth Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all
proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be
withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the
Kenilworth Park District. The Kenilworth Park District encourages minority business firms to submit
bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for
supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
