The Village of Romeoville does hereby invite sealed bids for ROMEO CROSSING COMMUNITY
PARK PHASE III. Work will include site clearing and protections, earthwork, storm sewer, water service,
electrical service, lighting, concrete curbs, walks, & paving, asphalt paving, restroom facility, site
furnishings, playground equipment, playground surfacing, signs, fencing, planting & seeding.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after
10:00 AM on March 26, 2024, from Accurate Reprographics, https://www.hitchcockplanroom.com/,
2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville, Illinois 60563, phone 630-428-4433 for the cost of
reproduction. Refer to Section 000100 “Invitation to Bid” for information regarding the pre-bid meeting.
Bids will be accepted at the Village of Romeoville (Recreation Office), 900 W Romeo Road, Romeoville,
Illinois 60446, during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with
the Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid for ROMEO CROSSING COMMUNITY PARK PHASE
III,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than 2:00 PM April 9, 2024. Bids will be
opened at 2:01 PM, April 23, 2024, at the Village of Romeoville, 900 W Romeo Road, Romeoville, Illinois
60446. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check,
Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Village of Romeoville. The bid
results will be tabulated, and a copy of the results will be emailed to each bidder that submitted a bid.
The successful bidder, as determined by the Village of Romeoville, shall be required to pay, and to agree
to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS
130) for the locality of the Village of Romeoville, (Will County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic
needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and
all subcontractors shall be required to submit, to the Village of Romeoville, certified payrolls no later than
the tenth day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month. This contract to be awarded
is subject to the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, 30 ILCS 570/1 et. seq., and the
successful bidder shall comply with the requirements of such Act regarding the employment of Illinois
laborers to perform work on the Project.
The Village of Romeoville reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all
proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be
withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the
Village of Romeoville. The Village of Romeoville encourages minority business firms to submit bids on
this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for
supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
