Southland Park

The Lombard Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for Southland Park located at Grace Street and

Central Avenue, Lombard, Illinois 60148. Work will include temporary soil erosion and sediment control

measures/maintenance, earthwork operations, crushed limestone paving, asphalt paving, concrete paving,

curbs and footings, chain link fencing and gates, netting, sport court surfacing and striping, shelter

installation, dugout installation, sports equipment installation, play equipment installation, play surfacing

- engineered wood fiber, storm utilities, new electric service, shelter light and outlets, field irrigation,

landscape planting, and turf grass seeding.

Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after

10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from Accurate Reprographics, 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite

100, Naperville, Illinois 60563, (630) 428-4433, www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are

available at the non-refundable cost of reproduction.

Bids will be accepted at the Lombard Park District, Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S. Finely Road,

Lombard, Illinois 60148 during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope

marked with the Contractor’s name and address, and “Lombard Park District, Southland Park” on the face

of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Bids will

be opened on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 10:01 AM at the Lombard Park District, Sunset Knoll

Recreation Center, 820 S. Finley Road, Lombard, Illinois 60148.

All bidders will be required to submit proof of Bid Security in the form of scans of Bid Bond, Certified

Check, or Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Lombard Park District.

No proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond or check. The successful

bidder, as determined by the Lombard Park District, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less

than the Prevailing Rate of Wages for the locality of the Lombard Park District, to each laborer worker, or

mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let.

The Lombard Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all

proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be

withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the

Lombard Park District. The Lombard Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on

this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for

supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
