Sports Center Park
The Round Lake Area Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for Sports Center Park. Work will
include site preparation, construction fencing, temporary soil erosion and sediment control measures, site
removals and clearing, earthwork, excavation, and grading; storm sewer utilities, water service utilities,
electrical utilities, cast-in-place concrete, splash pad, fitness equipment, shade structures, tennis/pickleball
court fencing & gates, bocce court, asphalt paving, concrete paving, tree, shrub, native and turf seeding.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after
10:00 AM on April 14, 2021 from Accurate Reprographics, www.hitchcockplanroom.com, 2368
Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville, Illinois 60563, phone (630) 428-4433 for the non-refundable cost
of reproduction.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on April 21, 2021 at the Sports Center, 2004
N. Municipal Way, Round Lake Beach, IL 60073, with a site tour to follow (if needed). Bids will be
accepted at the Round Lake Area Park District, 814 Hart Road, Round Lake Beach, Illinois 60073, during
regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name
and address, and “Sports Center Park,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than
10:00 AM on May 5, 2021. Bids will be opened at 10:01 AM on May 5, 2021 and can be viewed via
Zoom at https://zoom.us/j/99367283691. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form
of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the
Round Lake Area Park District.
The Round Lake Area Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all
proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be
withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the
Round Lake Area Park District. The Round Lake Area Park District encourages minority business firms
to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors
for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.

This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, “Open Space
Land Acquisition & Development” (OSLAD) grant program. Work must comply with grant requirements.
