Centennial Park Renovation
The Arlington Heights Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for the Centennial Park Renovation Project. Work will include sitework demolition, cast-in-place concrete, foundations, and footings, composite wood boardwalk construction, shelter installation, playground and fitness equipment installation, netted backstop installation, earthwork and grading, asphalt paving, concrete paving, chain link fencing, site furnishings, engineered wood fiber play surfacing, landscaping, turf seeding, native seeding, segmental retaining wall reconstruction, and storm sewerage and underdrainage.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after 10:00 AM on January 21, 2026, from the Accurate Reprographics, www.hitchcockplanroom.com, 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville, Illinois 60540, phone (630) 428-4433, for the non-refundable cost of reproduction. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Centennial Park, 1301 E. Burr Oak Dr., Arlington Hts., IL 60004.
Bids will be accepted at the Arlington Heights Park District Administration Center, 410 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004, during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid- Centennial Park,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than 2:00 PM on February 11, 2026 at which time a public bid opening will take place at the Administration Center. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Arlington Heights Park District.

The successful bidder is required to pay Prevailing Wage for work under this Contract and shall submit certified payroll records in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Contractor(s) selected will also be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and executive orders,
including but not limited to those pertaining to equal employment opportunities. Minority business firms and Contractor’s complying with the Illinois Apprenticeship Initiative are encouraged to submit bids on this project. The successful contract bidder is encouraged to utilize minority businesses and those complying with the Illinois Apprenticeship Initiative as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
The Arlington Heights Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Arlington Heights Park District.
