The Lombard Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for Lombard Common and Old Grove Playground Renovation. The project includes the renovation of two playgrounds, constructed under one bid package and awarded to a single Contractor. Work will include site clearing, earthwork operations, playground underdrainage, asphalt paving, concrete curbs, walks and paving, engineered wood fiber playground surfacing, site furnishings, playground equipment installation, landscape planting, and turf grass seeding.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after 11:00 A.M. on Thursday October 16, 2025 from Accurate Reprographics, 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville, Illinois 60563, (630) 428-4433, www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are available at the non-refundable cost of reproduction.
Bids will be accepted at the Lombard Park District, Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S. Finely Road, Lombard, Illinois 60148 during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid for Lombard Park District, Lombard Common and Old Grove Playground Renovation,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than 11:00 A.M. on Thursday November 6, 2025. Bids will be opened on Thursday November 6, 2025, at 11:01 A.M. at the Lombard Park District, Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S. Finley Road, Lombard, Illinois 60148.
All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Lombard Park District. The successful bidder, as determined by the Lombard Park District, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) for the locality of the Lombard Park District (DuPage County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let.
The Lombard Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Lombard Park District. The Lombard Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
