Ray Franzen Bird Sanctuary Phase II

The Itasca Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for Ray Franzen Bird Sanctuary Phase II. Work

will include site clearing, earthwork operations, irrigation, storm sewerage, concrete curbs, walks and

paving, boardwalk and bridge, synthetic turf, site furnishings and signs, fencing, planting, and seeding.

Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after

10:00 AM on February 16, 2024 from Accurate Reprographics 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100,

Naperville, Illinois 60563, 630.428.4433 www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are

available to download and print at the non-refundable cost of reproduction.

Bids will be accepted at the Itasca Park District 350 East Irving Park Road, Itasca, Illinois 60143, during

regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name

and address, and “Bid for Ray Franzen Bird Sanctuary Phase II” on the face of the envelope. Bids must

be received no later than 10:00 AM on March 20, 2024. Bids will be opened at 10:01 AM on March 12,

2024 at the Itasca Park District 350 East Irving Park Road, Itasca, Illinois 60143. All bidders will be required

to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to

the Itasca Park District.

The successful bidder, as determined by the Itasca Park District, shall be required to pay, and to agree to

pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS

130) for the locality of the Itasca Park District (DuPage County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic

needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and

all subcontractors shall be required to submit, to the Itasca Park District Itasca Park District, certified payrolls

no later than the tenth day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month.

The Itasca Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or

to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until

a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Itasca Park District.

The Itasca Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful

contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services,

and construction.
