Conservancy Park
The Village of Gilberts does hereby invite sealed bids for Conservancy Park. Work will include site
clearing, earthwork operations, bocce ball courts, curb, fencing, sport court surfacing, tennis and pickleball
equipment, concrete walks and paving, shelter installation, and planting.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after
10:00 A.M on June 13th, 2023 from Accurate Reprographics 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville,
Illinois 60563, 630.428.4433 www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are available to download
and print at the non-refundable cost of reproduction.
Bids will be accepted at the Village of Gilberts, 87 Galligan Road, Gilberts, IL 60136, during the regular
office hours of 8:30am-4:30pm. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s
name and address, and “Bid for Conservancy Park,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be
received no later than 10:00 A.M on June 27th, 2023. Bids will be opened on June 27th at 10:01 A.M. at
the Village of Gilberts, 87 Galligan Road, Gilberts, IL 60136. All bidders will be required to submit Bid
Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base
Bid, payable to the Village of Gilberts.
The successful bidder, as determined by the Village of Gilberts, shall be required to pay, and to agree to
pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS
130) for the locality of the Village of Gilberts (Kane County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed
or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and all subcontractors
shall be required to submit, to the Village of Gilberts, certified payrolls no later than the tenth
day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month.
The Village of Gilberts reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or
to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until
a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Village of Gilberts. The Village of Gilberts encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful
contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and
construction.
