Pioneer Park

The Niles Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for Pioneer Park. Work will include temporary
erosion and sediment control measures, earthwork, stone masonry, asphalt paving, concrete paving,
footings, curbs, and retaining walls, shelter installation, playground equipment installation, engineered
wood fiber play surfacing, chain link fencing and gates, utilities, lighting, landscaping, and turf grass
seeding.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after
11:00 A.M. on March 15, 2023 from Accurate Reprographics 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100,
Naperville, Illinois 60563 at phone: 630.428.4433, website: www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding
documents are available at the non-refundable cost of reproduction.
Bids will be accepted at the Niles Park District, 6676 W. Howard Street, Niles, Illinois 60714 during
regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name
and address, and “Niles Park District, Pioneer Park,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received
no later than 10:00 AM on April 5, 2023. Bids will be opened on April 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Niles
Park District, 6676 W. Howard Street, Niles, Illinois 60714.
All bidders will be required to submit proof of Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check,
or Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Niles Park District. No
proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond or check. The successful bidder, as
determined by the Niles Park District, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less than the
Prevailing Rate of Wages for the locality of the Niles Park District, to each laborer worker, or mechanic
needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let.
The Niles Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or
to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until
a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Niles Park District.
The Niles Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the
successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment,
