Lan-Oak Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for the Park Plaza Public Space – Phase One project.
Work will include site preparation, construction fencing, temporary soil erosion and sediment control
measures, site removals and clearing, earthwork, excavation and grading, cast-in-place concrete, shelter
installation, concrete paving and bands, unit paving, underground electrical & stormwater utilities, site
furnishings installation, landscape planting, native seeding, and turf seeding.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after
10:00 AM on January 11, 2023 from Accurate Repro, Inc. 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville,
IL 60563, 630.428.4433 www.hitchcockplanroom.com. A non-refundable fee will be charged for each
requested bid package.
Bids will be accepted at the Lan-Oak Park District Eisenhower Community & Fitness Center, 2550 178th
Street, Lansing, IL 60438, during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope
marked with the Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid for Lan-Oak Park District Park Plaza Public
Space – Phase One” on the face of the envelope.
Bids must be received no later than 10:00 AM on February 8, 2023. Bids will be opened and read
aloud at 10:01 AM on February 8, 2023 at the Lan-Oak Park District Eisenhower Community & Fitness
Center. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check,
Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to Lan-Oak Park District.
The successful bidder, as determined by the Lan-Oak Park District, shall be required to pay, and to agree
to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS
130) for the locality of the Lan-Oak Park District Cook County, to each laborer worker, or mechanic
needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and
all subcontractors shall be required to submit, to the Lan-Oak Park District, certified payrolls (or a letter
in lieu thereof certifying that no certified payroll is required under the terms of the Act) with every
application for payment.
The Lan-Oak Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals,
or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn
until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Lan-Oak Park
District. The Lan-Oak Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and
the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment,
services, and construction.
