Glencoe School District 35 does hereby invite sealed bids for South School Site Improvements. Work
will include removals, earthwork, concrete curbs, concrete walls, concrete paving, unit paving, asphalt
paving, masonry, play equipment installation, site furnishing installation, poured-in-place rubber surfacing,
artificial turf play surfacing, planting, and seeding, and drainage structures, and sub drainage.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after
10:00 A.M. on October 3, 2022 from Accurate Reprographics 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville,
Illinois 60563, 630.428.4433 www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are available at
the non-refundable cost of reproduction.
Bids will be accepted at the School District 35, 620 Greenwood Avenue, Glencoe, Illinois 60022, during
regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name
and address, and “South School Site Improvements” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received
no later than October 18, 2022, 1:00 PM. Bids will be opened on October 18, 2022, 1:00 PM at the
School District 35 Administrative Offices, 620 Greenwood Avenue, Glencoe, Illinois 60022. All bidders
will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond per the amount of 10% of the Base Bid,
payable to School District 35.
The successful bidder, as determined by the School District 35, shall be required to pay, and to agree to
pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS
130) for the locality of the project (Cook County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to
complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor and all subcontractors
shall be required to submit, to School District 35, certified payrolls no later than the tenth day of each calendar
month for the immediately preceding month.
School District 35 reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to
waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a
period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of School District 35. School
District 35 encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract
bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
