Lorel and Menominee Playground Renovations
The Skokie Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for Lorel and Menominee Playground
Renovations. Work will include removals, earthwork operations, concrete curbs and paving, site
furnishings, playfield equipment, and poured in place rubber surfacing.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after
10:00 A.M. on February 10, 2022 from Accurate Reprographics 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100,
Naperville, Illinois 60563, 630.428.4433 www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are
available to download and print at the non-refundable cost of reproduction.
Bids will be accepted at the Skokie Park District Park Services Center 7500 Frontage Road, Skokie,
Illinois 60077 during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with
the Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid for Lorel and Menominee Playground Renovations,” on the
face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than February 2, 2022, 10:00 AM. Bids will be
opened on February 24, 2022, 10:01 AM at the Skokie Park District Park Services Center, 7500 Frontage
Road, Skokie, Illinois 60077. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid
Bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Skokie Park District.
The successful bidder, as determined by the Skokie Park District, shall be required to pay, and to agree to
pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS
130) for the locality of the Skokie Park District (Cook County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic
needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and
all subcontractors shall be required to submit, to the Skokie Park District, certified payrolls no later than
the tenth day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month.
The Skokie Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals,
or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn
until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Skokie Park
District. The Skokie Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment,
services, and construction.
