Lan-Oak Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for the Lions Stadium Inclusive Playground. Work
will include minor site clearing, earthwork, concrete paving, playground equipment installation, pour-inplace
rubber surfacing, underdrainage, and seeding.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after
10:00 AM on January 21, 2021 from Accurate Repro, Inc. 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville,
IL 60563, 630.428.4433 www.hitchcockplanroom.com. A non-refundable fee will be charged for each
requested bid package.
Bids will be accepted at the Lan-Oak Park District Eisenhower Community & Fitness Center, 2550 178th
Street, Lansing, IL 60438, during regular office hours. All hard-copy bids must be submitted in a sealed
envelope marked with the Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid for Lan-Oak Park District Lions Stadium
Inclusive Playground” on the face of the envelope. Bids will also be accepted digitally by submitting
the required proposal documents to the following email address: bids@lanoakparkdistrict.org.
Electronic bid submittals will not be viewed until the bid opening day & time noted below.
Bids must be received no later than 10:00 AM February 4, 2020. Bids will be opened at 10:01 AM
February 4, 2020 at the Lan-Oak Park District. If State of Illinois COVID Executive Order requires building
closure, the bid opening will be held virtually. Meeting instructions will be posted on the park district
website at www.lanoakparkdistrict.org one week prior to bid opening date.
All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier’s
Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to Lan-Oak Park District. The successful bidder, as
determined by the Lan-Oak Park District, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less than the
Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) for the locality of
the Lan-Oak Park District Cook County, to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete
the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and all subcontractors shall be
required to submit, to the Lan-Oak Park District, certified payrolls (or a letter in lieu thereof certifying
that no certified payroll is required under the terms of the Act) with every application for payment.
The Lan-Oak Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals,
or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn
until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Lan-Oak Park
District. The Lan-Oak Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and
the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment,
services, and construction.
