Izaak Walton Reserve

Hanover Township does hereby invite sealed bids for Izaak Walton Reserve. Work will include
earthwork operations, electrical service, stone masonry, asphalt paving, concrete curbs and paving, play
equipment installation, shelter installation, play surfacing, boardwalk, planting and turf, and subdrainage.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after
11:00 A.M. on January 28, 2021 from Accurate Reprographics 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100,
Naperville, Illinois 60563 630.428.4433 www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are available
at the non-refundable cost of reproduction.
Sealed digital bid submissions will be accepted at www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bids must be received
no later than March 4th, 2021, 10:00 A.M. Bids will be opened on March 4th, 2021, 10:00 A.M. via
online meeting. Bid results will be distributed to plan holders following the opening via e-mail. All
bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier’s
Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to Hanover Township.
The successful bidder, as determined by Hanover Township, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay
no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages for the locality of Hanover Township, to each laborer worker,
or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let.
Hanover Township reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to
waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals, if in the judgment of the Hanover Township,
the best interests of the Hanover Township will be promoted thereby. The awarding of the contract and
completion of this project are contingent on Hanover Township’s actual receipt of the requisite grant
funding for this project from the State of Illinois. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of
sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of Hanover Township.
This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources,
“Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development” (OSLAD) grant program. Hanover Township
encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to
utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
