Work will include site clearing, earthwork operations, storm sewerage, asphalt paving, concrete curbs, walks and paving, shelter, site furnishings, playfield equipment, fencing, and planting and seeding.

Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after 10:00 AM on May 4, 2020 from Accurate Reprographics, 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville, Illinois 60563, 630-428-4433 www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are available for download and print at the non-refundable cost of reproduction.

Bids will be accepted at the Village of Elburn, 301 E. North Street, Elburn, Illinois 60119, during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid for Keslinger and Liberty Community Park,” on the face of the enve-lope. Bids must be received no later than 10:00 AM May 20, 2020. Bids will be opened on May 20, 2020 at 10:01 AM at the Village of Elburn, 301 E. North Street, Elburn, Illinois 06119. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cash-ier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Village of Elburn.

The successful bidder, as determined by the Village of Elburn, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) for the locality of the Village of Elburn (Kane County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and all subcontractors shall be required to submit, to the Village of Elburn, certified payrolls no later than the tenth day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month.

The Village of Elburn reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all pro-posals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Village of Elburn.

The Village of Elburn encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
