Work will include site clearing, earthwork operations, drainage, concrete curbs and walks, playfield equipment installation, retaining walls, fencing, synthetic turf play surfacing and turf restoration.
Bids will be accepted at the Deerfield Park District, 836 Jewett Park Drive, Illinois 60015 during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid for Jewett Park Playground Renovation,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than May 8, 2018, 1:00 PM. Bids will be opened on May 8, 2018, 1:01 PM at the Deerfield Park District, 836 Jewett Park Drive, Deerfield, Illinois 60015. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Deerfield Park District.
The successful bidder, as determined by the Deerfield Park District, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) for the locality of the Deerfield Park District (Cook County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and all subcontractors shall be required to submit, to the Deerfield Park District, certified payrolls no later than the tenth day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month.
The Deerfield Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Deerfield Park District. The Deerfield Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
